Thomas J. Quann III is the President and co-founder of Stonegate Mortgage. He was born and raised in historic New Bedford, Massachusetts. Thomas attended Westfield State College and studied business management before returning home to New Bedford.

Immediately following school, Thomas worked for one of the largest retail stores in the country as a sales manager. Thomas was flown across the country to help teach, train, and set up new stores for success. After being one of the top sales managers on the east coast, he decided to take his knowledge and experience into the mortgage field. He got started in the mortgage industry and worked for a fairly large mortgage company where he made his name as one of the more respected mortgage professionals in the industry. In 2003, Thomas left his position after much success to open a new mortgage company. He envisioned launching a mortgage company where he could teach new professionals in the field his product knowledge, code of ethics, working closely with clients, and how to conduct business with others in the field. The dream came true in April of 2004 opening the doors to the public. Stonegate Mortgage has changed in size dramatically over the years but their philosophy of every client is the most important client has not changed.

Thomas currently resides in New Bedford with his wife Melissa and his two sons, Thomas IV and Jared. Thomas enjoys watching sporting events and traveling whenever he gets the opportunity to do so with his family.
